How to make a refund

I need to refund part of the p&p for a couple of items I sold on eBay. When I try to do this it keeps saying that I don't have sufficient funds to do this even though the balance on my PayPal is enough to cover the refund. What am I doing wrong?

that sounds odd - you should be able to click on the payment in paypal, scroll down and then hit refund

Are any of the funds uncleared like an echeque?

Thanks fergoose - I think the problem is currency related. I want to make a sterling refund, my balance is in euros (I live abroad) and I can't seem to change my euro balance into a sterling one to make the refund!! Grrr - any ideas?

no idea - except convert the amount and refund in euros?
