Had an e-mail to say that eBay are charging zero insertion fees on auction style listings this weekend (25th, 26th & 27th August). Usual conditions apply.

Excellent, I have a pushchair to sell and was just wondering when the next free lsiting days are. Thanks :)

Southwest · 24/08/2012 14:22

I was wondering about this too, but I also saw somewhere that you get 100 free listings a month is that right?

KateSpade · 24/08/2012 16:31

ARGH! I really wish it was tonight, i have so much stuff to get rid off & I'm working tomorrow.

lljkk · 24/08/2012 21:24

It's all weekend, KateSpade, so anytime before midnight on Monday.

jellybaby25 · 25/08/2012 18:41

@Southwest --- you get 100 listings for free a month but only with a start price of up to 99p.

LineRunner · 26/08/2012 15:50

I've just listed about 20 things - took ages!

SouthWest, the advantage is that you can list for free with an auction starting price that is relatively high. So I have a brand new designer top that I don't want to risk going for 99p - this way I can list it with an opening bid price of £9.99 (say) to see if there's any interest at all, for free.

If it doesn't sell I can wait and relist on another free weekend nearer Christmas, or drop the start price.

Ahh I see
I have just tried listing and bizarrely they have given me a selling limit of 10 a month?
A bit pissed off really side I'd just spent ages trying lots of clothes on the dcs to see whether they still fit!!

Is it worth trying to get my selling limit lifted?

LineRunner · 26/08/2012 23:42

Southwest, how's your account looking?

Southwest · 27/08/2012 00:10

Well as far as I know it's fine
How would I tell?

I don't sell much just buy usually
I did sell a few things ages ago and got put off by
a) the high fees which resulted in me loosing money and
B) someone paid me on Sat afternoon, I moved house Monday posted it on Tuesday and they left feedback saying they were disappointed with slow dispatch time!!

LineRunner · 27/08/2012 00:12

Just go to your feedback and look at your Detailed Seller Ratings.

Your account should hopefully be in the 'Standard' range?

Southwest · 27/08/2012 00:19

I dont have any dsrs nor will I be getting any soon if they limit the number of items I can list like that
Ha ha

LineRunner · 27/08/2012 00:20

I know it's a horrible Catch 22.

Fergoose may come along tomorrow and offer better advice.

Southwest · 27/08/2012 00:24

Typical eBay!!

I'm still pissed off with paypal they never seem to clear funds into my account on a Friday but always keep it until the Monday and this weekend it will be Tuesday!i
