Have had an offer on item that ended last night-what to do?

Am a bit confused here, any help would be much appreciated - at the weekend I had a message offering me less than I was asking for the item, which I declined. My auction ended last night, (item didn't sell), have now had another message from the same person today, saying their original offer still holds and they are willing to meet me to collect the item (it's large so collection only). If I decide to accept that offer now, how does it work regarding Ebay fees? I'll be accepting cash only as its collection (is that the correct thing to do?) But how can I then mark it as paid in Ebay? tia

for them to buy officially you would need to set up a new buy it now auction - but to be honest most would not bother and would just let them come and collect without going through eBay. Just make sure they pay you in cash, not via Paypal.

there is nothing illegal in ebay terms as it is now not on sale on ebay, they pay if not happy they obviously have no route to complain you get cash so once have cash it is over, depends how much lower offer is if 10% it is worth it as uyou would give 10% to ebay anyway 10-20% lower probably good as may not sell next time either 25% lower and best re-listing

thanks saraht well after saying last night that I wouldn't, I arranged today to sell it, it was around 20% less but just the hassle of relisting and maybe not selling again as you say- I've listed it several times before too. it'll be great to see the back of it! Good to know that its clear with ebay too...
