To pay or not to pay?

Hello ebayers. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am new to eBay. I have won a bid on something which is for collection in my area. When I go to checkout, it says arrange with the seller for payment and collection. The seller is not responding to my messages. What do I do? Pay by PayPal? Or hold out til I get a response about the collection arrangements? I would prefer to pay by cash on collection if possible.

What do you think I should do?

Tia

pull their phone number and ring them?

they should never take paypal for a collection item anyway, cash only

When did it end and was it a bargain they are unwilling to sell - have they relisted it?

Hi fear goose, thanks for replying.

I'll check to see if it has been relisted. It went at 8.30 this morning, and I was expecting to collect today as it is Sunday, and most people busy in the week. It isn't a total bargain, and there was no reserve on the item. The woman has 100% positive feedback as well. How do you get their phone number?

Interesting that you say cash on collection. Cash is not mentioned as a payment option, only PayPal, but I would have thought cash on collection.

Cheers again

Grrrr she stil hasn't got back to us. I phoned and left a message, and no response, I phoned again yesterday, and she said it was her daughter who was selling it and gave me her number. I phoned and left messages yesterday and today, and answer or reply. How long do I keep trying before I give up? I think I might go back to phoning the mum, as it's her eBay account. I though it was buyers who were supposed to be flaky, not sellers!

I doubt you will get a response now until you leave a negative feedback - sounds like they are avoiding you tbh.

Hi fer goose. Is that usual amongst sellers? I see so ma y listings saying 'relisted due to timewaster' etc, I thought it was more of a problem in buyers.

I think if they don't get the price they want they will do this. Dunno how often it happens though.
