I have sold a number of items on ebay but all my friends seem to do so much better. I have just spoken to someone who openly admits to selling 'junk' and does really well and yet I seem to make very little. I'm not expecting to make £££ but a little would be nice.

All my items are clean, laundered and ironed and photographed well. My listings are honest and I would never sell anything that I would not be happy to buy myself and have 100% feedback from the items that I have previously sold. What am I doing wrong?

What time of day do you list them?

Do you write nice things about the items or just the basics?

Get the word next in there.... Be reasonable on p&p... End then on a Sunday even around 9pm... Don't expect a plain t shirt to sell on its own.
I find character, next, debenhams ect sell well.

Can you link to one of your listings?

Good idea three, I generally do well with clothes on eBay and when I buy I know what I would/would not even bother watching let alone bid on

I haven't got anything on just now that I can link. I usually end auctions in the evening but on any day, didn't realise Sunday was the best day. I do say nice things about my items but try not to be too 'flowery' if you know what I mean. It's normally clothes or shoes and usually Next or JL. I just don't seem to be getting it right!! Would you normally list for 7 or 10 days?

Generally I would do 7, I find Sunday's are best. Get kids to bed then have a mooch on eBay before night before another week at work etc!

Thanks all, I have some things I want to put on so I will def end next Sunday and report back!

Research how sellers that do well with similar items list, how their title is written. Make sure photos are bright, well framed etc. good luck!

i disagree about Sunday being the best day, I find Monday or Tues evenings are better.

August always is very quiet but things are getting slightly better now.
