Saw an item fhat's 2 miles away, msged seller to ask if ConC would be available (not listed) and haven't heard back. Have now won item - is it worth asking again?

You can always ask. Did the listing offer collection at all? The issue may not be the payment method but rather that they prefer not to have people collecting.
If they are happy to have you collect then they should know that cash is the way to go.

Thanks I thought it was possible but I'm a buyer not a seller (keep meaning to try sellingGrin)
The seller has under quoted for postage so it's to both our advantages if s/he would do collection Smile (unless their house is a tip and they don't want people calling!)

I'm interested in this as well. If a seller agreed to change to cash on collection, would the buyer simply pay a lower amount via PayPal (i.e. the cost of the item only)?

Presumably this happens where there is an option for P&P or Collection?

but it is all immaterial surely anyway - a seller should never accept paypal for a collection item should they.

It's up to the seller really. Wait a short while for their response.

She's agreed, all fine :) does anyone know how eBay will know I've paid? Or does it just sit there forever on my reminders as unpaid?

you or the seller just mark it as paid.
