Is this cheeky?

I've just sold a nice top from Next.
I don't charge for P&P but the buyer has just emailed me asking if i can send the top sooner!
I state that I send 2nd class and eBay suggest that will take 3 to 5 days.
I will be posting it tomorrow.
Is she being a tad unreasonable?
It can't be posted today! And I'm not going to send it 1st class.

She might want it for a special occasion. Would you be happy to send first class if she covers the addition cost?

Borntobeamum · 29/07/2012 22:38

I suggested that but she won't pay the difference.

Definitely cheeky then!

If you post it today, she'll probably get it on Wednesday unless she lives in the Scottish Isles or somewhere remote, which I think is fine. I've often sold something on a Sunday, posted 2nd class on Monday (just about to go to the post office!) and people have left good backback on my 'speedy dispatch'!

So yeah, cheeky, if she won't pay the extra for 1st. Maybe she's just making sure you definitely post it today.

just email back and say you post second class, you generally do not offer first class as you do not go to post office every day, 1st class would mean special trip so would need to be paid for......

mail deliver about 92% of second class within 3 days and about 50% within 2 days

I send everything second class and a lot arrives in 2 days, posting monday she may get it wednesday but more likely thrusday

if she comments on feedback just politely respond saying

"free P&P is second class offered to send 1st class if paid extra but buyer refused"
