Buyers who who no sign of life after winning bid

What's the recommended procedure?

Auctions closed 3 days ago. I have a number of buyers who haven't gotten in touch, or responded to my messages (I sent 2).

"Buyers who show no sign of life", btw.

I just open an unpaid case on day 4 and close 4 days later - no point emailing, if they aren't going to pay no amount of emails will make them in my experience

when the case is closed you can relist or do 2nd chance offer, and add the buyer to your blocked bidder list too.

I send a polite email after a couple of days that says congratulations on winning the auction, and that I will post the item once I've received payment. Then I open a case on day 4 like Fergoose said.

Thank you both.

Does eBay do something to close the case automatically on Day 8, or do I need to do something myself to close it on Day 4+4?

no you close the case yourself manually 4 days later - than buyer gets a strike and you get your fees back.

Thanks, that's very helpful

I've only had to open one case - the buyer then paid and the case was automatically closed. Smile

I second another invoice and put REMINDER INVOICE in bag latters on it. Usually works.

I open a case on day 7 and think a week is plenty long enough to pay.
