So, i'm madly ebaying everything that isn't nailed down in preparation for moving and I need to know how much postage to charge for DVDs.

I have used Music Magpie for most of my DVDs as I know they don't sell well but I have a few unusual DVDs I reckon I could sell.

I've noticed a lot of people charging £1 postage for a DVD.... Do you think this would cover it?

My experience is that a typical DVD in a light padded envelope comes in a just under 100g, so in theory should be 69p stamp plus cost of envelope (2nd class), say 94p.

However if they have a sleeve, or you use a slightly heavier envelope, they can easily cross over the 100g mark and would then become £1.10 second class just for the stamp.

It seems so expensive. Has anyone used ordinary envelopes to post DVDs?

Thanks linerunner. That's really helpful. All postage seems really expensive now doesn't it?

Think I charged £1.20.
I was amazed as some rarer and foreign DVDs sold really well. Guess it was because no one else was selling them at the time.
