Buyer claiming not as described.

I sold a pair of Plus sized cropped trousers 3 weeks ago.
Listed as size 32. To fit waist minimum of 54 inches. (I've recently lost 6 st)
Posted and received ok. Buyer left pos feedback.
I've now received an email stating they are not as described as they are not a size 32 but bigger.
I think the buyer maybe thought they were a 32 waist? They are very big due to the plus size and surely they saw this prior to leaving feedback
Any idea how I should reply to them please?

As they have already left you feedback and it has been 3 weeks you don't have to reply.

If it were me I would ask them to return them in the condition they were sent for a refund. I wouldn't refund return postage costs though if the listing clearly stated they are plus size. They were listed correctly in the item specifics regarding sizing? If so you are not at fault.

The buyer has 45 days to open a not as described dispute with eBay, regardless of whether they have left feedback or not. 3 Weeks is also not relevant. If eBay ask them to return them they will have to send them via trackable means at their own expense.

Reply exactly as fergoose has said, just be calm, polite and ask for the trousers to be returned back.

Nonio I have no idea where you are getting your information from, but that's the second incorrect piece of advice you have left this morning.
Sellers should always respond to buyer complaints or queries no matter how long ago the item was bought and regardless of feedback having been left.

Sorry 80sbabe I didn't think opinion where judged on mumsnet

Nonio - 80sbabe wasn't stating an opinion, she was stating factual information. What you said was wrong and incorrect I'm afraid.

I would send a polite message saying they are welcome to return the item and you will refund them. Does seem a bit odd that they left positive feedback and then said they weren't as described.

I have left feedback before then only a few days later found something was faulty/not as described. And also the buyer could have left feedback by mistake - it does happen, so feedback left is not the end of the transaction really.
