Ebay - second chance advice

I sold a bike on ebay except it didn't meet the reserve. So I offered it to the highest bidder on a second chance and they said they'd like it but haven't officially accepted on ebay yet. Have just said they'd like it in a message.

They are meant to collect it but the only times they want to collect it are really inconvenient e.g 8.30am to 9.30am (Just when am doing school run).

Do I have to sell it to them or can I just withdraw the offer. Can they moan about me on ebay? I hardly ever use ebay - only for big stuff such as furniture/ bikes ...

if they havent officially accepted it and paid through paypal i would say they cannot have it. you will have offered it on a second chance offer for a set time so if they havent accepted and paid by the time it runs out then that's their fault. no doubt they will want to pay cash on delivery which means you are not protected by ebay/paypal.

as for collection times if you cant do it when they want and you have suggested alternatives i think it may be worth not selling to them as it sounds it may be more trouble than its worth

you must must only take cash on collection not paypal as no proof of delivery paypal bad option for collection items

they need to officially accept on ebay if they do, then obliged to sell , suggest they come at weekend instead, no doubt they want to pick up then as convienent to them on way to work but it needs to suit you both
