Anyone else finding eBay a bit quiet at the moment?

I only have a few things listed at the moment but have had very little interest except for two low offers (half of the start price) on a buggy seat.

Anyone else think it's a bit quiet or am I just listing things that nobody wants Grin?

I think I'm going to have a break from eBay after this lot of auctions end and concentrate on getting things organised for Christmas listings in a few months.

Summer is quiet for most things. Picks up again in late Sept.

There was another thread saying the same thing over the weekend. I think it's definitely the summer lull, although another theory is the hike in postage.

I'm planning to start selling again in September, no sooner.

me too - i complained about this earlier today! although i am still quite new so it could just be the way im listing. none of it high value stuff - but clothes such as mini boden, monsoon baby gap etc going for 99p. ive not even any offers on adult boden and white stuff.

i made a teeny bit of money before easter (nothing fantastic) which got me all excited about clearing out stuff but not sure whether to bother now. ive got some isabella oliver maternity to list -but cant face that going for 99p Shock so might try NCT.

someone on here recommended facebook selling?

Shelley - I tried my hand at facebook selling, tried to sell an exercise bike - had no less than 3 offers and not one person came for it in the end! I relisted it three times! I was offering it for £25 - I got £50 from eBay and I only paid £40 for it! People on Facebook want it practically free and delivered to their doors for nowt!

I'd stick with eBay or similar as nobody regulates these sites
