Not sure if this is the right place, but if you want to sell brand name stuff on ebay, do you need some kind of permission as it is a brand name. Thanks.

No, but you can't sell counterfeit stuff. You may be adked to prove the authenticity of some branded products as big brands police eBay and take action against trade mark infringers.

As long as you have authentic proof of purchase you'll be fine.

I had a problem with this. I was given some Keep Calm and Carry On merchandise for the benefit of a charity - it came from the owner of the company. I listed it as genuine and from the company owner and stated that the profits were going to the charity in the body of the listing.

There are a lot of copies of the item on ebay - not fakes but people jumping on the bandwagon. I'd sold a few and CLIC Sargeant had benefitted as promised then all of a sudden I got the remaining items removed by ebay because someone in the company had objected to me selling the items as genuine even though they were. I just gave up at that point! So, be warned, sometimes this can cause a problem.
