Royal Mail Lost Post (Ebay seller) claim query

So Royal Mail have failed to deliver several of my items (posted at the same time). I have proof of posting which is fine. But Royal Mail won't compensate me for the item value without a receipt or bank statement so what do you do if you are just selling second hand items (for which you no longer have receipts), or home made items which have taken a long time to prepare but no proof of purchase?

You should only have to provide them with your ebay invoice. That is sufficient.

Thanks, have you done that before? Reason I ask is, as a seller, you are only entitled to claim back what you paid for the item rather than what you sold it at? The eBay invoice will show the sale value but not what you bought it for (it's only £1.95 plus £2.20 postage)!
