Odd seller situation

I'm not a regular ebayer. Just bought a tens machine last Saturday. I paid immediately as I find that most convenient, whilst I remember!

Heard nothing until Tuesday when the seller sent me a message asking for payment. I checked paypal and the payment was there but unclaimed. Told the seller that they just needed to claim it. I can't understand why they hadn't already claimed it? I know someone else posted about unclaimed payment and was told it was about the sellers email address but I can see the sellers email address listed as part of the payment details.

I have noticed that for some reason my old address was on there so messaged this error to the seller as well. Is it this address which might be preventing him claiming payment? Either way I haven't heard from him in response to anything so unsure where I stand right now and with due date approaching I need to get this sorted so i can get something else organised if he's messing me around.

Any thoughts?

no your postal address should make no difference, but what you should do is cancel this payment, amend your paypal to the new postage address then pay again

In paypal it will tell you the email address of the seller to which you have made the payment. Tell the seller that email address, and they will need to add that to their paypal account to accept the payment, otherwise it will sit unclaimed and will eventually be returned to you.

It sounds like your seller is not very good at communicating to be honest.

You are right it was an old email address so he hadn't seen the payment.
Thanks!

oh no just read this and am now confused myself.do you have to go into paypal and claim every payment?thought it all went automatically into payal account?this makes me as clueless as op's seller!

Girlgonemild - glad it is all sorted :)

Ouchmyfanjo - no you don't need to manually claim every payment, if the paypal address is correct it is all automatic.
