Query re Gumtree ; is it not like eBay?

I have asked a few sellers questions about their listing and none of the Gumtree lot have replied, unlike the eBayers who are really prompt.

Do you think my mails aren't getting through? I am hesitant to contact them a 3rd time as I hate to bug them.

Does anyone know how this works on Gumtree? BTW I am not a member of Gumtree ( am on eBay) but the website does seem to acknowledge that mails have been sent.

Hmm - depends on the seller I think. I have always answered questions the same day. I think a lot of people put things on Gumtree then forget about them. With Gumtree, like eBay, the messages pass through their system so you don't get hold of the seller's actual e-mail address. You could try from a different e-mail account, just in case messages from yours are being rejected as spam because of a blacklisted server or something.

Ok, thanks for the tip. And do you know if the object says 'more than one month ago' listed, how old could it be?

I realise I could look that info up on Gumtree itself so I'm being lazy...

Gumtree Ads expire after 60 days, so they must be between 1 month and 2 months oLD.
