LATE-ISH PAYMENT- WHEN TO GET TOUGH?

WWYD-fIRST, I've 100% pos. feedback - almost 200- and never had any issues.

Sold a coat on Friday and my terms ask for payment within 48 hours- unless the buyer contacts me to say there is a problem with this for any reason.

So- yesterday I emailed the buyer to ask her to pay asap- I need to get item posted- and have had no reply.

My TERMS on the item descrpition ask for payment within 48 hours unless I am contacted to say otherwise, and I also say that the itme will be re-listed without any further notice if payment is not made.

so- do I carry out my terms- or give her a bit longer.

I had almost 30 watchers and quite a few bids, so think it would re-sell. BUT she has good feedback so I don't want to jump the gun.

I think you are supposed to wait a bit longer, I think it is 4 days? Then you can file a non paying bidder claim with eBay and you would be reasonable to relist it then.

the buyer does have 4 days to pay after you open the dispute though.

You may state 48 hours for payment or else you will re-list, but Ebay via it's unpaid item case system does allow up to 7 days for payment.
You can open a case after 4 days and close it 3 days later if payment is not received.

I wouldn't re-list the coat without having gone through the unpaid case first, as if you did and then the buyer paid you could be laying yourself open to an item not received case - unless of course you have two coats.
In any case, if you had other bids on it then you could always do a second chance offer if the original buyer doesn't pay.
