Dispute from buyer - wwyd?

I sold a small bundle (4 items) of girls clothes. All in perfect condition I got 99p. Fair dos. Buyer now contacted me to ask what I was going to do about stains on the knee of some white trousers. There are no stains, I washed and ironed and photographed these, packed them up - no stains that I ever noticed. I wrote back and apologised and offered her a full refund if she sent the bundle back. She's said there's only a problem with the trousers. Shall I offer a partial refund? What would you do?

I would tell her to return the lot for a refund - unless you are going to give them a 25p refund for them? Sounds really pedantic to complain for such a cheap bundle really

What a bloody cheek. Ignore her.
I sold a pair of white trousers recently - the buyer sent a really aggressive email to me saying that there were stains on the front and demanding an immediate refund - I told her to send them back to me and that's the last I heard from her. I think some people try it on to get a refund without having to bother sending the stuff back.
99p for a bundle of clothes sounds like a bargain to me.

I had something similar - a 99p dress, free postage and some OCD biatch emailed me hysterical because the dress hadn't been washed properly and how she had had to put it in the washing machine "with a good dose of Oxy10". It really upset me actually as that had been a favourite dress of my DD though it was a cheap one from Hennes and everytime I look at a photo of her wearing it I am reminded!

I would tell her to send the whole let back for a refund of her 99p and pay her own postage. Unbelievable cheek to be honest.

Thanks. Am going to ignore now. She refused my offer to return the bundle. I'll live with negative feedback which I can respond to anyway. I'm just astounded.

To be honest, I would pointedly and ostentatiously refund her 25p. For fucks sake, some buyers are so pathetic.

Well, she's left me negative feedback. "Dirty and ignored emails". What a nasty piece of work. I've replied to the feedback pointing out I offered a refund which she refused. And am trying to work out how to report her. I've looked at her feedback - it's definitely her not me. Never mind, just have to chalk it down to experience.

I have been selling stuff on eBay for over 10 years and have found that in the last 2-3 months a lot more people have been making comments about things 'not as described' and wanting part refunds. I don't know if people are getting more desperate for bargains in the current economic climate but it's really putting me off selling at the moment.
I sold a dress this week which in the photo was slightly lighter in colour than in real life, although it was described as the actual colour on the listing. Some newbie with a feedback score of 17 just posted me to say that in future someone might give me negative feedback for such a mistake! I've sent her back a gushing thanks for her advice. (I have a positive 100% score of 1450).

I sold an ornament for £12 or so, obviously made sure it was very well bubblewrapped etc. Buyer claimed there was a piece broken off and that it couldn't have happened in transit coz she didn't find the broken off bit in the box. Just in case she was trying it on, I asked her to email me a picture of the damage before I refunded. Guess what... No photo ever received, never heard from her again.

Never used to get all this grief with eBay when I first started selling on it. It's purely down to the fact the Buyers know the Seller can't leave negative feedback anymore Angry
