Hi There

I know that this topic is not Ebay related but I couldn't find a suitable category.

Can anyone tell me what is the "going rate" for the following at a Car Boot Sale..

DVDs
Paperbacks
CDs
DS Games
PS2 Games
X-Box Games
Wii Games
Victorian/Vintage Hankies - with lace etc
Old Lps
Old Toys - Britains Horses, Spirograph, vintage Disney Stuff etc

I know that I could probably split the lot up and sell on E-Bay - but to be honest life it too short at the moment...

There may be good things in the stuff that I want to sell - or maybe not - but was looking for a general - "DVD's are a xxx - DS Games are a xxx" approach and if someone picks up a bargain - good for them... I need to de-clutter quick..

Thanks...

DVDs/CDs - £1 - £3 depending on the DVD, you'd obviously get more for box sets
Paperbacks - 25p - £1 unless they're rare
No idea on the games, would depend on how recent but I'd imagine along similar lines to the DVDs
LPs - would depend a lot on condition, band etc anywhere from £1 up
Lace hankies - absolutely no idea!
Toys - depends on condition and desirability 50p - £10

Everyone will be looking for a bargain, be prepared to haggle.
You'll get bulk buyers that will want discounts for buying 20 CDs etc.

It's better not to put actual prices on items, so that you can amend ad hoc.
Prices will vary depending on where in the country you are, I'm in the midlands, but I'd expect to charge more in the South or in more affluent areas.

Hope that helps.

i would honestly eBay the hankies as is more specialist. Apparently linen ones are collectable too. I just sold some from about 1960s for £18!

I sell DVDs for £1 at car boots, clothes for 50p - £2. Toys 20p - £2. Carboot buyers are looking for rock bottom prices and if you charge too much, you will go home with your boot still full!!

I only do car boots when I have a lot of junk to get rid of, anything decent gets put on eBay.

Whilst you experienced car booters are out there, where is a good car boot location in/near North London?
I have loads of boy baby gear to shift, sadly no longer able to have children so all used only once.
Or do you think I'd be better of doing it on ebay? (Which I don't really understand, but am prepared to get to grips with!)
It's clothes, toys/books and kit e.g. travel cot, bedroom cot, playmats etc.
