I've bought some havaianas but I think they are smaller than the size in the listing...

I bought some havaianas last week in an auction and they arrived yesterday.
The listing said they were a size uk 6.

The shoes say size 37-38 on them, which is the brazillian size, us 6 and eur 39/0
When i've looked online in various shops, that size is advertised as a uk 5 or uk 5/6

So I think they've seen the 39 and assumed they are a size 6, but i've got other havaianas that say size 6 is bra 39/40 us7/8 eur 41/2

I couldn't see the brazillian size in the photos, otherwise i wouldn't have bid.

So I need advice please...

Do I message the seller, who said no returns, and query the sizing?
Or do I just list them on ebay and sell them on... in which case, what size do I sell them as?!

yes message the seller as they are not as described. They are a size 5 aren't they? The seller should offer return postage costs too as they made a mistake. Them saying no returns means nothing so you can ignore that entirely. If unco-operative you can open a case with eBay.

Thanks, i've looked on various size conversion charts online, and they (mostly) say that the size is a 5, not a 6.

I've just sent them an email... see what they come back with.

I have just bought havaianas in exactly the size you have described. They were classed as being 5/6. Eur 39 is actually 5.5, only not many shops stock half sizes. My sister who wears a uk size 8 buys the eur 41/42 so unless you are big 6 they will be huge! HTH.

'I'm sorry for my error regarding the size of the flip flops. Do you wish to still keep them or shall I arrange for a refund and to have them sent back to me?'

I've asked how to return them, I said I was thinking 2nd class recorded.
He's said just to send them 2nd class and he'll give me 2-50 towards postage.

Not sure how much they'll be to send, but don't I have to send them tracked?

When returning things on eBay I've always been told to send them with tracking to qualify for a refund, by paypal. HTH.

yes you must get a signature so you can prove the seller received them, otherwise seller could lie and claim not to have got them back

I always write on the package - postie, please ensure you obtain signature on delivery - many thanks - in large letters, as my postie often doesn't bother getting me to sign for stuff, and I know many don't bother.

if seller posted them to you second class standard it is reasonable for them to offer that sum for return postage; if they did not send them signed for not really reasonable to expect them to pay 95p more to have them returned

so £2.50 towards what I assume is £2,20 parcel is a nice gesture as well as the apology sometimes things go wrong on ebay, this seller has done what he should and offered refund and return postage

so hopefully you can now go and get some in right size
