New to Ebay, can't believe I've never used it before!

As the title says I am new to eBay. Previously any old/unwanted items just went to charity. I registered just over a week ago and have already sold £60 worth of stuff I would have normally given away!

All the dc clothes we used to give away but know we're trying to save some money we thought, what the heck. Put them on eBay and if they dont sell we'll bag them up for charity.

I've got the bug now, keep thinking what else I can sell!

By the way, is there a way to be able to list more than 10 items a month?

I think as a new seller you are limited to the amount of listings you can have until you have some feedback and then your allowances are automatically raised.

I think I have an allowance of 190 listings per month at the moment or £1300 whichever comes first Wink

That's helpful thanks. Could my dh also create an account to double the amount we can list? Or would eBay have a problem with that?
We have a big bag of clothes to try and sell sitting on the landing.

You can increase your selling limit through the My Ebay - there's 'Request Higher Selling Allowances' link under the monthly selling allowances box. You confirm your address, ebay posts you a code and that will get your limit increased. Takes a few days but I've now got up to 100 items now - not that I've got time to put that many on...

Ah that sounds good thanks. Definitely won't need 100 just more than 10.

I'm sure its because you are new. Once you have built up a good level of feedback (10 i think) the limits will increase.

A private seller like yourself should find 100 more than enough.

Good luck !

Thanks! Poor dh will come home one day and the house will be empty because I've sold it all on eBay. Grin

I've recently increased my allowance. It was quick and easy. Clicked the request higher allowance link then got sent a letter with a code on, think it's to confirm my address. Entered the code onto eBay and voila Grin
