do you refund the postage to the buyer? They have paid for recorded delivery but it's not far and will be less hassle to deliver (although the fuel will cost more than the postage).

you refund the whole paypal payment and accept cash only - delivering yourself or collection items should always be cash and never ever paypal

Why, fergoose? eBay forces you to make paypal an option, so how is it "never ever paypal"? Confused

As a buyer, I always prefer paypal as it gives me some comeback should things go wrong.

In this case, duffy, I would probably deliver personally and rebate a bit of the postage, send a message to explain that you've decided to save both of you a little bit of money by delivering. Perhaps give them the option of having it delivered via recorded delivery?

Mrsplug- they buyer could claim they never recieved them and you have no proof of postage. You would then have to refund.

Ah - I see.

Sorry fergoose Blush

fergoose · 06/06/2012 20:54

Thanks for that. I posted to be on the safe side.

I deliver - and keep postage to cover petrol.

I bought some tickets the other day - the email from the supplier said they would take photo of my front door to probe delivery.

well that seller is ridiculous - and without online proof of delivery a buyer will always win a dispute and get their money back from paypal.
