bundling up baby clothes

PenguinArmy · 02/06/2012 10:20

so am considering attempting to ebay some baby clothes as have a large selection (bin bag each of various sizes).

Any advice regarding to bundle the clothes would be greatly appreciated. Do I sort them into a few bundles with various items in or say bundle sleep suits together etc.

TIA

I'd say do bundles of each item like you say so a bundle of sleepsuits in each size, vests etc. Then do mixed bundles of proper clothes etc.

I do bundles of about six similar things together, except vests and sleepsuits, I would do a bundle with maybe six of each. So three outfits, six separates to a bundle and maybe throw in some socks/tights/soft shoes.

Bundles don't usually make much money on eBay, I'm afraid. I would usually prefer to buy bundles by type - vests and baby grows, leggings, cardigans etc. but if you have any nicer designer/desirable high street items I would either sell them individually, or ensure that each bundle has at least one nicer item, which may increase interest.

Watch out for the condition of items too - I've bought a few used baby clothes which have ranged from almost pristine(great!), bobbled (as you might expect) to downright discoloured and grubby (unacceptable unless clearly explained) and they all had the same sort of description.

If you value your feedback scores, you need to be very clear indeed.

Good luck!

thanks for the feedback

am assuming we won't make much money, but every little helps. Figure 99p here and there soon adds up. We brought very little of it ourselves.

was thinking of taking pictures etc. today and putting them into bags and then wait for free listings weekend. Not sure often they come around though.

Its not worth it for baby clothes, reallly! Speaking from experience. Just freecycle them!

For bog standard stuff, sleepsuits etc I sold mine at NCT nearly new sales, I don't think there is much point selling on ebay that stuff, p&p means that it isn't worth it for the buyer. I sell the good quality stuff on ebay and NCT the rest. Maybe try car boot sales.
