I sent a brand new item (with tags) (silk scarf) to Canada which was in perfect condition and the buyer is now saying it has black smears all over it. I find it hard to believe as I posted it brand new and the package was well wrapped to avoid damage in transit. Their feedback is only 15 (and they have 2 negs as a seller!) (mine's 132 100% positive) and I have never missold stuff.

Have said I will refund if they post item back (from Canada) wwyd? I've asked for photos of the damage.

I don't want to have to refund postage costs (would end up costing me about £15020 quid!) as I KNOW the item is fine and they're just trying their luck.

I've just had someone say they same thing, they are disappointed as x wasn't clear in tge description, but x is clearly visible in tge 3 photos Hmm I've told them to send it back if they are that unhappy and I'll resell. It's getting worse and worse.

Sorry I know that was no use to you Grin

And that's what they're banking on. Get the item back, don't refund postage, put up with the negative.

And never sell abroad, too expensive and not reachable. I'm guessing they will now mysteriously claim they haven't received it as they slums like arses.

LaurieFairyCake · 29/05/2012 08:05

Sound like arses

Thanks all - was thinking of refunding the postage one way (i.e. the return) but not the outgoing so I only lose £7-10 quid?

if they return it via trackable means you would have to refund all of their original payment including the p&p but they would need to pay to return it to you

Whatever happens, do not refund until you receive it back.

urgh - ebay is soooo anti seller.

they've agreed to a partial refund of £7.50 - i still reckon they've damaged it themselves Hmm
