why oh why do people do this?

I sold things on friday and have yet to pay for them.

It exasperates me. If I win something I always pay as soon as i receive the winning bid email.

I have 4 days to open a unpaid item case don;t I?

I have sent them invoices and I have contacted them again today.

I hate this!

I had a dress which sold three times (q expensive over £100) and each time it was a buyer with little to no feedback who didn't pay. What really annoyed me was I lost the listing price each time too (fixed price) Angry!

Yes - I think it's 4 days. You can add a pay now requirement for immediate payment when someone buys something.

good luck!

The main issue is these aren't newbies

They all have high feedback scores.

One contacted me today to say all her cards were stolen and she hopes to pay today or tomorrow

But nothing from anyone else

It is really inconsiderate

urgh soooo annoying. I had one from Australia who I chased for weeks before she finally paid (didn't want to leave a neg comment / open a dispute)... I always pay immediately unless I have a question about the postage etc!

I've been told its problems with cards and they will pay in the next few days.

If you have a card problem why bid? All winning bids were snipes. So if you have issue with funds cancel the snipe. I just don't understand it. They all have good feedback about fast payment so who knows.

I replied that i would be grateful for payment but i would open an unpaid item case if not paid soon

I think upto 2 days is normal for payment I only sen invoice immediately if combined postage, overseas or a newbie

if no payment i send invoice after 2-3 days

a reminder on day 4/5

open dispute on day6/7

I would advise against sending email/invoice every day it annoys people being hassled ebay terms say 4 days to pay

also allow extra time at bank holidays

often people snipe as will not be around at end of auction, so probably not going to pay immediately

I think if someone explains problem with payment you do need to be patient, problems with catrds can just happen quicklyoften it is the bank
