Hello, I am an eBay newbie and as such have no idea what to do. There is an item that I am "watching" that is being auctioned and there is no "buy it now" option. I was wondering if it would be totally out of order the done thing to contact the seller enquiring if they had a minimum price in mind?

No I've done it. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

you will find most people will say no. I have tried it only a couple of times when I wanted an item for a special occasion but if I had wait till then end of the auction then it wouldn't have arrived in time. Both times they said no and I have also refused people who have asked for buy it now. It's always worth a try but dont be offened if they refuse
