Seasonal items...

I'm looking into selling some stuff on eBay in order to clear an unforeseen financial hurdle. The most valuable items (or rather the items I hope will fetch me the most money) are a couple of designer winter coats and quite a few pairs of posh boots, hardly worn and originally bought for £100 - £200 (clearly before motherhood...). Now, I wonder if it is worth selling these items now, at this time of year, or whether I should forget about selling them until the autumn? Need cash NOW though, that's the problem... Any one ever sold winter stuff in spring?

I've bought stuff out of season as I'd expect it to be a lot cheaper. Also it's good for me as a buyer as there aren't as many people bidding on it.

If you want maximum cash though it's better to sell in season I'd say.

if they are designer and you are new to selling you can probably only sell 1 designer item per month

I think that applies to massive labels like Chanel, Armani etc. and you can't generally get a lot of coat from those big guns for £100-200.

There is a reason why shops don't sell winter things in summer time (only on sale anyway), and I think that applies to ebay too. You will get savvy shoppers going for it for bargains, but most ppl are going to be looking for vest tops and strappy sandals today!

Yep, I think you're right... Wonder if I can find something more seasonally appropriate to sell :) Thank you for your thoughts.
