I have been a buyer for 3 years and have good feedback. I have a large and unexpected car bill come in and so am going to sell my mobile phone to pay for it. (Exhaust went).

It is a samsung galaxy s2, about 3 weeks old. My insurance company have just replaced the original so it is in mint condition.

Anyway my question is - should I sell as auction or buy it now and also do I have to sell it with the SIM? I don't want to, but I noticed that all other sellers state the carrier. I wasn't sure if that meant the sim was with it.

Sorry for this disjointed message - I have a small wriggly child on my lap.

TIA

You don't have to sell the phone with a sim card. The sellers that have stated carriers are selling phones that are locked and can only be used with one of that carriers sims :)

Ah I see. Thank you.

I don't suppose you know how I find out if my phone is factory unlocked do you? I am with t-mobile but got the phone/contract through a phone shop that handles all networks?

I wonder if you could borrow a SIM off a friend's phone (on another network) & see if the phone works with it. Would only take a few minutes to test. If your phone worked with another network SIM then presumably your phone is unlocked.

I am sort of confused about why you have a mint phone to sell because of insurance replacement.

Oh sorry I wasn't very clear.

It's been replaced by my insurance company recently as my old one wasn't working so this one is only a few weeks old.

I don't want to sell it but the exhaust has just gone on my car (this week). I need a car, I don't need so much phone so wanted to sell the phone and then just get an old one to stick my SIM in.

I only have one phone. The original I got with my contract broke - this is the replacement from insurance that i'm selling.

And when I say mint - I don't mean unused just that's it's only been out of the box a couple of weeks.

god I've worried myself now....not even sure what about.

look on completed listing to see what they generally sell for, either BIN at average price or auction at lower edge and hope it goes higher start at minimum you are prepared to accept so dont sstart at 99p or even £9,99

say in terms will only be sent to registered paypal address fully insured ie special delivery next day and so will need to be signed for

I would advise against local collection but if you do CASH ONLY NO PAYPAL
