Payment reversed - is there anything I can do?

Just come home to an email saying a payment for an item I sold on ebay has been reversed. Has anyone experienced this and, if so, what was the outcome? I had a bad feeling about it as buyer didn't pay initially, sent email after about five days asking if there was a problem and saying if there was I'm sure we could sort it out, but if I didn't hear anything in the next three days I would file unpaid item dispute. Didn't hear anything, filed dispute and magically paid with buyer citing 'problem with paypal account'.

Posted item, cost more to post than I charged, but happy to just be done with it. Now payment has been reserved. I don't have a lot of money, have already withdrawn the payment and now am in negative paypal balance. Aaagh. I don't have time for this shit. Have been using ebay for 10 years and have 100% positive feedback.

If you have proof of delivery with signature to confirmed address you will be fine but if only sent normal post with no proof then the buyer will get their money back.

I didn't send recorded, but have proof of postage. I haven't had an email from the buyer to say the item didn't turn up and to check when it was posted, which I would expect if they're claiming it didn't arrive.

I am sure with only proof of postage the buyer will get their refund sadly. Is it a chargeback with a credit card, ie the buyer is disputing the transaction with their card, or is it a not received claim?

If it is not received you can claim from post office for lost item.

I don't have any details, only that the payment is being reversed by the bank and being held. I don't see how she can dispute the transaction as I have emails from her following unpaid item dispute. Gah.

Maybe they haven't had the funds in their bank account and that's why it's been reversed. Maybe the seller knows nothing of it!

I've just had an email from Paypal asking for proof of postage, so hopefully I'll be okay with just this. Sounds like it's been taken back by the bank rather than disputing it turning up.
