New Ebayer confused about selling limits

Very new to all this - just started selling - 1 item last month and 2 items yesterday! - I had a monthly selling limit of £650, which is more than adequate. However, it's £650 or ten items, whichever comes first, so after having spent yesterday afternoon putting stuff on, I have reached 10 items. I have clicked the thing about increasing your limit, and Ebay have to post something to you before you can do so, but what is my limit likely to be increased to? Like I said, the money limit is more than enough but the number of stuff is way too low. Thank you.

I have the same thing - i think it only lasts for three months.
I think Paypal have to put small amount in your account (you have to link a bank account properly, not just a debit card) or something?

In the meantime, I've been selling bundles, to clear out quicker!

Thank you, I've done the Paypal thingy already. It's an Ebay thing and they literally have to send you a piece of paper by good old fashioned snail mail - something about proving you live where you live...

Oh really, that too? FFS, what a fuss.
I am sure it said this was only for the first three months - maybe I've made it up likely.

When I got my paper thingy my limit got increased to 100. The letter comes in about 2 days. I think that you have to have some good feedback before they send you the letter.

Thank you, that's helpful.

It's odd though - mine is only asking me to report back on amounts that PP put in my account, no mention of this letter.
Maybe it's something to do with the amount of positive feedback you have already?
Who knows. I find many of Ebay's decisions a mystery Grin
