Help, sold 5 items but the PayPal address was wrong!

My PayPal account address was an old work email, I changed this months ago on PayPal.
I have recently sold some items and it said payment pending but the link to PayPal wouldn't work. I've now realised the buyers have paid but this hasn't been linked to my account.
What a mess
I chatted online with eBay support who said that the buyers need to cancel payment then re pay the correct PayPal address.
Is there nothing I can do?

log into your paypal account then you can add the wrong paypal address to your account as another address and this will then accept the payments for you.

Thanks Fergoose, spoken to PayPal now, the email address is defunct so won't work. They have said to call later and they will transfer the money.
I feel bad though as its been 3 days since the items sold and I would normally have posted by now, one pregnant lady has got into a tiz and has now said she doesn't want the item. She cancelled her payment and is worried about being double charged
