Fair feedback for this

Ok, I have bought and paid for a 'buy it now' item. A couple of days after the sale, I got an email from the seller saying that they 'seem to have run out' of the item and offered to send an alternative or a refund. The alternative is a similar item but not a known brand. I accepted because I need the item urgently. I am a bit fed up because the alternative was previously listed by other sellers at a lower price and lower postage but I paid more because I wanted this brand. Do you think it would be fair to leave neutral feedback because they should have known their stock levels or positive because they did give me the choice of a refund? I have never given negative or neutral feedback.

Thanks

I would email them and say that before you leave feedback, any chance you could refund the difference on the inferior item as you'd noticed it was cheaper. It can't hurt and most ebayers are only too happy to help or avoid neg feedback Smile

Good luck.
