Advice needed on bulky/heavy toy bundle

Hi

I have decided to group all my LOs toddler toys together and sell. I notice that those sellers who do pick up only don't seem to sell so well. So can anyone suggest a good method of posting an amount of toys that essentially fills 1-2 of those big blue 'green' Tesco bags? :)

I always use a courier for bulky/big items. You might need to get a couple of boxes or leave them in those Tesco bags and wrap lots of bubble wrap around for security???? I use parcel4d.co.uk (but there are loads to choose from if you google). You need to weigh and measure the parcel, then you book it all online and they come to your door to pick it up. I actually prefer it to standing in the post office for hours!! Depending on the toys it should cost less than £20. I sold a whole load of Brio once and sent it in a big packing crate - it cost £12.

betty thanks for the recommendation. I will look them up. Do they charge by size or weight?

Weight - it seems to go up in tiers i.e. under 25kg (not sure if it is 25kg just an example) should be somewhere between £10-£15. It gives you several options regarding price but I always go for the cheapest and have not had any problems so far. It has always been next day delivery too. You can get a quote online with no obligation so easy to shop around. I weigh my stuff on regular bathroom scales - I don't think it needs to be precise. Hope not anyway :o

I've used parcel monkey a few times and they are great. Get a quote online giving dimensions and weight, print off label stick it to the parcel and they collect within 24 hours from your door or collection point!! Always do next day delivery too!

parcel2go is £7.15 for upto 20kg in box royal mail will take 10kg for £13.61 AS COURIER BETTER AS NO SINGNATURE WITH STANDARD PARCELS

collection only really holds down price, couriers like square/ rectangular boxes so try and fit in box rather than bag as often a large light parcel costs more than heavier compact one. try and fit toys inside each other etc etc

size and weight are relevant generally one price for 2-5kg another for 5-15kg with couriers basically length + width+height need to be under about 120cm with nothing longer than 60cm

under 5 kg and in box like pampers nappy box would be £4.99 with collect+

That's great. I'll investigate them all. I know the weight but don't yet have a box big enough so need to try and work out dimensions.
