Am I not allowed to leave neutral feedback as a seller?

I need to leave feedback for a buyer who only paid after I opened an unpaid item dispute.

I only seem to have the option to leave positive feedback but I don't see this as particularly positive ebay behaviour - what are my options?

None I'm afraid. To Ebay, Buyers are golden and can't have negative feedback.

You could leave a negative comment with a positive score, but I just don't bother. As a seller I don't even look at feedback now as it's of no use.

don't leave a negative comment - it will be removed and you will get your knuckles wrapped. Just don't leave any at all is prob best, at least then you are not upping their score.

I really don't understand why ebay take this stance though - buyers can be good or bad and why shouldn't sellers be able to leave honest feedback?

I will leave feedback saying that they only paid after an unpaid item dispute was opened just so that I feel that I've fulfilled my obligation as a seller.

no feedback is voluntary - you don't have to leave any. And no you must not leave neg statement on positive rating - is against the rules.

sellers were stopped from being able to neg buyers to allow buyers to be honest, and prevent retaliatory neg feedback.

Having the constant reminder that I need to leave feedback for 1 item is annoying me so I think that I'll just say that payment was received after an unpaid item dispute was opened - that's not really negative is it? Just stating facts really.

I can see why it was stopped, but don't really agree that only buyers should have the chance to be honest.

no that would be considered a negative. Just delete the items from your sold listings then you won't have a reminder. Feedback is purely voluntary - there is no need to leave it at all. It isn't really that important.
