How do you add money to paypal account instantly?

I'm new to eBay, and have sold maybe £60 worth of old clothes, and bought about £80 worth of new clothes (always the way!). Need to add money to my paypal account to pay for the latest things, but paypal says I can't add my card because it is registered to another account. I'm POSITIVE it's not, I'm new to eBay and haven't used paypal before as far as I can remember.

I have linked my paypal to my bank, but to transfer money from my bank to my paypal takes 3-7days, and I need to put money in my paypal sooner than that, as I need to pay for these things asap! Anyone know how to register my card to my account, or an alternative way of getting money in my paypal account instantly?

you don't need to add money to pay for stuff - you just pay for the item and the money gets transferred from your bank via paypal. You don't need funds actually within your paypal to pay for something.

Ah, thanks. Did it, it now shows as "payment pending" - am assuming I don't need to do anything further and the payment will just getvtakrn out my bank soon? Thanks so much.

It may not go out that soon; is your Paypal account verified?

You could ask about payment by direct bank transfer next time, just as quick & no fees.

payment pending? Has the seller got the right email address for the payment or is it an echeque?

What does it say in paypal when you click on the payment?

When I click on the payment in paypal it says "uncleared - echeck". I verified my account last week. Does this all sound ok? Thanks for all your help, I'm still getting the hang of this!!

echeque - takes about a week to clear. Do you have a credit card as back up funding on your account?

Grrrr, no, don't have a credit card. Just have the one debit card, which I can't link because it reckons it is already linked to another account, and I can't unlink it, because I have no idea what account it is linked to! Oh the frustration!!
