Payment Pending?

I have an email saying buyer has paid for the item they won but when I look at the item in my account it has a banner at the top stating that the payment is pending.

Should I just let the buyer know that I'll send the item once the payment is confirmed?

you may need to upgrade to accept payments. Is the payment showing when you log into paypal?

No, when I log in to Paypal there's no sign of it. I use a googlemail address so I've added gmail as well.

so what email address was the paypal payment made to? You will need to add that email address to your paypal to accept the payment I think?

Further to this discussion, Paypal emailed me to say that I have a credit card payment pending and they are suggesting I upgrade to the business account in order to accept it. Is it worth it?

Depends if you intend to sell a lot of things I suppose. When it happened to me I just email the buyer and ask nicely if they can use another payment form (paypal funded by debit card or bank account) I've sold loads on ebay and have only had 2 people use credit card, but maybe I've just been lucky.

You would have to refund/stop the first payment on your paypal account also
