Sold maternity cardigan - only a couple of quid but item was fine when I sent.
Two weeks later get email saying there is tear on neck and What do I propose doing about it?

I can't prove wasn't damaged and don't want to get into long row about it for sake of few quid so offered postage back as goodwill gesture.

Have heard nothing back and sent email over 24 hours ago.
I suppose this is a wwyd as part of me thinks delay in all this makes me a bit suspicious .

just ask them to return for a refund - nothing else you can do really. Don't refund until you receive item back.

Sold it on no return basis tho

No such thing - you can't state no returns on a listing. The buyer will just open a dispute with eBay, you will get a black mark on your account and possibly bad feedback.

Gigondas · 04/04/2012 13:25

How come that is a standard option on eBay then?

It's like signs in shops: they can't return if they just don't like it but legally still can if not as described.

I tell people I will happily refund after comparing to my detailed photos, whether I have any or not!
