how / when to close a non payment case ?

Hi,

i recently had to open a non payment case. The buyer has not responded to any emails or communication. I waited a week then opened an unpaid item case on the 31st march - 4 days ago.

i think i can close the case today and get my fees back. But is it time specific ?i.e. can i only close after the time i opened it, and if so how do i find out what time i started the case. I think it was in the evening.

At the moment in the resolution centre it says 'take action' then 'close case' - but i'm concerned if i close just now then thats the end of it.

All this for a 99p item !

If it lets you close case at all then you will get your fees back (you can confirm this if you follow the maze of links to seeing your account history).

10p is 10p, better to have it than now, and it's good to know the procedure for when you sell something for £99.

if the button is there to close the case then you just need to click it. It is available exactly 4 days to the minute since opening the case, so if you opened it at 8pm then you can close at 8pm.

Aah, the button is there but i can't close it just yet.

i will wait till later and try again.

Knowing my luck the buyer will pay in the last dying minutes and I will be stuck having to post the item tomorrow morning before getting to the airport for an afternoon flight or risk bad feedback and tardy dsrs for postage

I think it tells you when you can do it, it says something like this case can now be closed if you haven't recieved payment.
