non paying buyer thread-another one

ok so bidder won cardigan on 25th March. I heard nothing from buyer so sent an invoice on 28th. Still nothing I sent a gentle reminder on 29th. Its just on the week now and its the having heard nothing thats bothering me although I do understand that it could be something outside the buyers control. My question is - can I now simply use the option to make a second chance offer, without raising disputes etc with Ebay? The bidder has 0 feedback so maybe I should not have accepted the bid?

no - you need to open a non payer case and get your fees back first. Only once that is closed after another 4 days can you do a second chance offer. Otherwise you risk 2 buyers and one item.

I did all this as advised Fergoose, never had any response from original buyer nor did other buyer take up second chance offer so relisted it and have just parcelled it up now as its sold for x5 times the original selling price :) Just posting this bit of good news to give heart to all those who've been stung with non-paying buyers
