Asked for cash on collection but buyer paid by pp

Hi I've sold an item (only went for 99p) and asked for cash on collection. Just seen that the buyer has paid by PayPal. Can't understand why they've done this. Do I just leave it or mention it on collection.

They've only got 12 feedback scores so newish to eBay.

Is it because the buyer has more protection via pp but not for cash payments?

I was just worried that they could say they paid but hadn't received item as collection and won't have proof of postage. I know it's only 99p Grin

if newish they may not have noticed- I made some mistakes when new- with various levels of responses from sellers: some were downright rude Shock

be gentle with the dozy newbie

Could you ask them to sign some sort of receipt or collection form when they pick up the item? That way they can't say it wasn't received.

I will I'm certainly no expert myself Grin which is why I'm glad I've got mumsnet

for 99p I doubt they would claim not received, but you shouldn't accept paypal for collection ever. Signing a receipt means nothing, without proof of delivery online then if they did file a claim paypal will give them back their money.

Can you explain, then refund the 99p asking for cash instead as stated in your listing?
