How long does the winning bidder have to pay?

I've sold 3 things in the past and all of the buyers have paid within 24 hours of the auction ending.

My latest sale ended 4 days ago. I sent the invoice immediately and haven't heard a thing.

How long does the buyer have to pay, and what should I do if I don't receive payment?

There's a help page with advice on the eBay site. Basically you can initiate failure to pay proceedings 4 days after the auction ends but I'd try to get intouch with your buyer again first as may be genuine error. Try an email and message through eBay and let them know you will have to initiate proceedings if they don't pay.

I was looking under community - perhaps I was in the wrong place.

I'll send a message through ebay if there's no payment tomorrow - I guess that the procedings would be pretty simple? As they've not paid then I could just give them negative feedback and relist the item?

It's the end of the month - maybe your buyer is waiting until he/she has been paid? I have had buyers in the past who have apologised and said that they can't pay until the Thursday or Friday after the auction finishes.

4 days until you can open a dispute then they have another 4 days until you close it and they get a strike and you can relist then.

Ok, I'm off to open a dispute.

It was only for £3 and is going to a Universty Halls of residence so I'm not sure that purplefrogs ideas are relevant in this case. Anyway, they've not contacted me at all so I think the dispute is fair.
