Packaging: Bag vs padded envelope vs box

Bag is cheapest and waterproof, padded envelope gives better protection box even better but all have their disadvantages too.

I am about to send a bundle of clothes once the winning bidder has paid but it's between the bag in a bag or bag in a box iyswim. I am worried that the buyer may accidently damage it when opening it with scissors. Box is probably better for this but seems more ott for 6 items of clothing plus it will probably not come with the normal post because of bulk. What do experienced sellers say?

Thanks in advance.

i think box or envelope would be the same rate with standard parcels wouldn't it?

You can courier a 2kg packet with collect plus for £4 - that may be cheaper than royal mail
