Quick postage question!

I have bought 7 things from 1 seller, they are small (think pairs of socks) I asked about combined postage and was told 2 for the price of 1 fair enough so maybe twice the price for all 6 I thought.

Sure enough I have been asked to pay 3 times the cost so I am only getting a tiny discount, I estimate the seller is marking postage up by several hundred percent and it is costing me 75% of purchase price for postage, they are for my sister so need to be sent on to the States which is kind of making it silly to buy them.

I feel sure I am going to mention the several hundred percent markup in feedback and give no stars for postage,

WWYD say something to seller pre? just leave the poor comment? Just suck it up?
Thanks

I don't want to be niggly but I did ask first, it is only a few pounds and it's not the sellers fault my sister lives overseas

I wouldn't pay and would shop elsewhere - making profit on postage is fee avoidance and not permitted.

sadly the seller is doing what they said they would do, not what you thought they would do.

You have to be very careful what you ask. Askling before bidding is much the best since they know they may lose a sale if they behave badly.

I always look at the cost-including-postage as the real price.

p.s. I suppose you could ask, "can you check the combined postage for these 7 items please and let me know the combined cost"

An honest or decent person would do it.
