I bought OH a screen for his motorbike but when it came it was for a different model so didn't fit his bike. I contacted the seller and they said if I returned it I could get a refund. They received it back on Friday, I sent it recorded delivery and I checked that it had been signed for. But I still haven't had a refund. I emailed them today but heard nothing back. What do I do?

open a not as described with eBay and when they ask give the tracking info, then they will give you back your money.

Sorry my post wasn't very clear! It was as described. The screen was for a Yamaha xj6 Diversion, OH's bike is a Yamaha xj6, a different model. They look exactly the same to me which is how i made the mistake. It was from an ebay shop and they seemed quite helpful when I explained. Just seems strange that they haven't refunded yet.

but you are entitled to a refund, they have your item and your money. I guess opening not as described case is the only way you will get your money back if the seller refuses to refund you.

Can't you choose wrong item or something in the not described case?

fergoose · 20/03/2012 20:42

what about choosing the i want to return item for a refund option in the resolution centre - does that give you the option to enter tracking info?

It was on a BIN. I haven't tried to open a case yet, wasn't sure if I should give the seller more time. I know it's my own fault, serves me right trying to buy OH a surprise present! But I did explain to the seller I didn't realise it was for a different model and they were fine about me returning it. It's on their listing that they accept returns within 7 days and I sent it back the day after I got it. Is it worth opening a case now fergoose or should i contact the seller again first?

maybe wait for the seller to reply - then after say 48 hours open a case, or if the sellers listing has a phone number on it give them a call?

I'll give them another day or 2 and get in touch with them again. Thanks Smile
