Buy it now

I am selling my highchair on ebay, I buy a lot of stuff but have not sold anything for years. I have not put a buy it now price on it. The listing started yesterday and I have had a message from someone asking do I have a buy it now price, if so they will pay cash on collection. Does this normally happen and what should my response be? There are no bids on the chair yet.
Thanks

Similar happened to me selling a high chair. I did revise the item and added a buy it now for a respectable price. The lady bought it, then collected the same day and paid on collection. It was a very nice and easy transaction. Hope yours is the same Smile

If there are no bids you can accept a buy it now. If the price is good enough you can accept it. I have done this before, I put a cot bed on and someone offered me a buy it now price. I just ended the auction (you can do this if there are no bids). Or you can add the buy it now price onto the auction so they can bid for it that way. Only take cash on collection though.

This has happened to me a number of times. Every time I have declined the offer, as it's always the case that someone else has already placed a bid.

I've never regretted not doing a buy it now - the items have always sold for more than I've been offered.
