I just sold a sling on ebay for quite a lot of money. I was really chuffed, but the wretched buyer hasn't responded to me and hasn't paid. It's been 5 days now and my auction terms were within 3 days of end of auction. I've sent her gentle reminders, a firmer one and finally told her that if she hasn't paid by the end of the day I will have to start a case with her. (dispute?)
Thing is, I have the option of making a second chance offer on it. I presume this is an offer to`the second-highest bidder to buy it at her highest bid? Can I do that while also pursuing the original buyer, or is there any point? After all, if I open a case and then she ends up paying, I can't sell the sling to a second bidder. Should I just let the non-payer go and go to a second-chance offer? Sorry, clueless! (Original bidder has 0 feedback, btw.
I only noticed once she'd bid. I suspect she's recently changed her ID in order to disguise a lot of crap feedback, but perhaps she's a clueless newbie who got carried away and doesn't want to pay.)
Thanks for any tips!
