Unpaid item quandry

I sold an item for collection only and the buyer didn't contact me etc so I opened an unpaid item case and successfully closed it. (This is slightly irrelevant but explains why I'm so cross now!)

On relisting the same thing happened. The buyer did respond at first but failed to commit to when he was coming. The end result is that he didn't come over the weekend despite saying he would. I then opened an unpaid item case. Two days later he contacted me to say sorry he didn't make it and could he come again?

I am so annoyed that he was so rude as to not confirm and ignore 3 emails from me that quite frankly I can't be bothered to go through it again, especially as this is the second time with this item that this has happened.

My question is, can I leave the unpaid item case open and just close it on day 4 or do I have to open a cancel transaction case instead? Does it matter?

leave unpaid case and close it when you can

is it the same buyer? if so you need to add them to your blocked bidder list to stop them doing it again.

Thanks
No it's a different buyer. I didn't know you could block individual buyers? I have blocked buyers who have unpaid item cases against them but that's just general rather than specific buyers.
In closing the case can the buyer report me to ebay for not selling to them?

offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin

that is for your blocked bidder list

and no they can't report you if they haven't paid
