Cash

Cash. Buyer could otherwise open up claim with Paypal afterwards and you would have nothing to back yourself up with.

She has already paid by paypal!
I said i would need her to sign for receipt of goods on collection

no - you must refund from paypal and ask for cash only

signed receipt is worthless in the face of a chargeback - if she starts a claim they will refund the buyer end of, no receipt will stop them doing that

log into paypal, click on the payment scroll down and hit refund

Really? Is it very likely to happen? She lives in somerset, i live in cardiff, shes getting a cousin to collect who lives here!

well it is never recommended - not worth the risk surely?

They could collect, claim item not received and get refunded, and you have no item and no comeback.

cash - I sold two collection items this week. With one, the buyer paid with cash and I refunded immediately and explained COC only - she was absolutely fine about it.

From the sellers point of view, the buyer can walk off with the goods, claim item not received and the seller doesn't have a leg to stand on with Paypal as you have no tracking number - therefore you lose the money and the goods. Now there are a lot of buyers who would probably never dream of doing that, but equally is it worth taking the risk that your buyer is one of the dishonest ones?
