Hi, I've received an item that is not as described. I contacted the seller and he has agreed a refund if I return the item, so I have asked for the address.

I am worried i may not be the correct address, how do I ensure it is the ebay registered address? ie if I get an issue I can pursue it through them!

I will return it via a signed for method.

I haven't opened a case, is this what I should do? All I did was email the seller via the listing. I am just worried that if I return it they may have given me a false address and then the sign for postage is irrelevant because i'll need to send it to the address registered on ebay won't I? like you do if you send something as a seller?

Thanks for any help you can give. I don't trust anyone on ebay!

Open a dispute and then escalate it. You will then get told to return it at your cost and given the address. May take a day it two though.

Just had to do the same. Bloody annoying!

I was trying to avoid opening a dispute, trying just to contact direct (which ebay advise) all going ok so far, they've given me the address and have agreed to a refund upon return.

Should I still open a dispute to ensure the address is correct?

I agree it is bloody annoying!
