Stars on dashboard mystery....

Ok, so virtually all the feedback comments I get mention good & fast delivery. So why are my dashboard stars lower for delivery than the other things? Not disasterously - 4.5 rather than 4.8 for example - but it just bugs me. Why would people say great delivery, then mark me down? I always post within one day of payment too btw.

It could be how much you charge? It's probably just one person, there's no pleasing some people

But one person wouldn't make a difference would it? It would be determined by the majority surely? I dont think my postage is unreasonable; if I've drastically over-estimated, I do a partial refund as a matter of course (has only happened two or three times).

Depending on your total feedback score, one could make a huge difference sadly.

Yes every one counts it's a silly system and two of our eBay shops dropped from being top rated when it snowed last year and all the sorting offices closed locally because people kept marking us down.

eBay is pro buyer just look at how a buyer can leave negative feedback yet a seller can't.

are the stars for delivery time or cost? Unfortunately buyers can leave a good comment and trash your stars, and it can cause restrictions to your account. If it is delivery time list some items with free postage to recoup your star rating?

Some people will only give 5 stars if it drops on their doorstep the next day. If you post second class, it can take a while even if you post the the same day they paid. Technically, they are marking you down for Royal Mail delays.
